He says they don’t want to discuss their lawsuits against Ohio State. The board says it’s setting aside 20 minutes to hear students’ stories at next Friday’s trustees’ meeting Strauss killed himself in 2005. His relatives have said they’re shocked by the allegations first raised in April....

Ohtani homered and singled in his first three major league at-bats against Kikuchi, leading Los Angeles to a 12-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. U.S. crude oil rose in price by 1.7 percent on the New York Mercantile Exchange, resulting in $77.32 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent crude oil’s price, an international benchmark, rose by 1.5 percent to $80.28 a barrel. OPEC and its allies make up OPEC+, a 23-member coalition that is working to restore oil production to pre-pandemic levels. The coalition, led by OPEC member Saudi Arabia and nonmember Russia, agreed on Tuesday to release 400,000 barrels of oil per day in February....

Brooks had been suspended from OU summer activities after a female student filed a Title IX complaint alleging he had committed physical violence against her. She did not file a complaint with police. The Athletic reports the university’s Title IX office ruled in Brooks’ favor Tuesday. Brooks rushed for 1,056 yards (8.9 yards per carry) and 12 touchdowns last season as a redshirt freshman. He had 56 yards from scrimmage in the loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinal as the Sooners finished the season 12-2....
