While the Vive and other VR headsets continue to lack official support on the Oculus Store, this change once again allows owners of non-Oculus hardware to use software like Revive to utilize the platform. Of course, Revive on its own had bypassed the DRM within 24-hours of its implementation, so the DRM’s removal is more of a symbolic gesture. Yet, considering Oculus’ relative inaction with regards to community feedback since launch, something is always better than nothing....

One of the many first-person games with high potential for an interesting VR experience is Mirror’s Edge (some fans even went further and created their own ports) and in an interesting twist of fate, producer of Mirror’s Edge, Owen O’Brien, has jumped ship from DICE to CCP Games to work on the Oculus Rift title EVE: Valkyrie. The space combat sim is the first major title to be made specifically with the Oculus Rift headset in mind instead of just adding support to an otherwise standard user interface....

According to a Facebook post shared by Texas Game Wardens, officials performed an inspection of a local seafood restaurant on April 13. “During the inspection, Texas Game Wardens located 381 whole shark fins and an additional 29.2 lbs. of frozen shark fins inside of the restaurant’s commercial freezer,” the post read. “Case is pending against the restaurant/owners and all shark fins were seized as evidence.” In 2015, ocean conservation organization Oceana reported that Texas banned the trade of shark fins....
